Kyle Ledman

A virtual bookkeeper for gyms, studios, dojos, trainers, coaches and small businesses in the exercise and fitness industries.

KYLE’S EXPERIENCE WITH AMY IS ONLINE:

  • Developed a fresh website that made Kyle feel professional and confident.

  • Narrowed down her niche so she was known as an expert bookkeeper for fitness and health businesses.

  • Showcased her desire to be a stay-at-home and work-from-home mom for her daughter, Ocean.

About Kyle

Kyle is a lovely woman in Aiea, Oahu who wanted to start her own virtual bookkeeping business so she could work from home and watch her daughter, Ocean, grow up happy and healthy.

She already had 3 local clients when I met her so once she had her reviews and some gorgeous photos of her and Ocean, her website design was ready to begin!

I had so much fun designing Kyle’s website and I hope to check back in on her in a few months to see how she’s doing.

Kyle’s consultation with me was very insightful. She was a Mom who wanted the freedom to stay at home and be available for her daughter, Ocean.

In order to do that, she needed to be able to support herself and run her freelancing business from home. Which meant she needed a professional website that really spoke to her potential bookkeeping clients.

I convinced Kyle that she needed to narrow her focus and specialize in one industry. Niching down can be extremely scary, but it shows you are an expert in that one field and it makes it so much easier to gain leads and find new clients.

In fact, even before her website was done, Kyle had already gotten a lead from someone in the fitness industry! Way to go, Kyle!

KYLE’S BRAND SENTENCE:

“Easy virtual bookkeeping for small businesses specializing in gyms, studios, dojos, and trainers.”

Kyle did not like her original website (a Wordpress template that still had “123 New York” as her address), but she LOVED her logo. I have to agree - it’s a great one!

So I stuck with teal as her brand color and added some light blues and ocean photos to really add some depth to the name of her company, Ocean Toes Bookkeeping. I also added a few jiu-jitsu photos since a couple of her clients were jiu-jitsu dojos.

Here’s the hero banner on Kyle’s homepage. Her brand sentence was bright and easy to read and I focused on giving her target audience exactly what they wanted to hear: save time and money with a bookkeeper that specializes in fitness and health businesses.

Her background picture had notes of blue and teal to tie in with her brand’s color scheme and I also added some movement since her niche is all about staying active.
